In Part 1 of the State of the Pasadena Journal 2020 - [May 7, 2020], we shared the history of The Journal and our experiences that brought us to this place in our 30-year journey. We are blessed to be a part of this community which we have come to love and humbled to record and share events in and around this community with regard to issues of concern with everything, time brings about changes and we fi nd ourselves moving with the times. We are elated that family has taken a strong interest in joining and ushering in that move. Watch for additional content from them.
In addition to our weekly Pasadena Journal (PJ) print edition, look for more of the Journal on social media platforms. We are already on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. News and updates will be presented weekly and monthly. Commencing with this issue (May 28, 2020), we are launching the Pasadena Journal Monthly Review (PJ Monthly Review). With this new feature at the end of each month, we will re-print and review news and events, highlighting information that may be of interest to you which you may desire to keep for your later reference. The printed issue of the PJ Monthly Review will print and post to our website (PasadenaJournal.com) the last Thursday of each month. The struggle continues with COVID-19 still looming over our heads as the government opens up allowing people to resume their normal activities without us having a vaccine or cure. So we look forward to another outbreak in the fall. The Journal offi ce remains closed to the public, however, we’re open for business via the phone web and email. We’re trying hard to stay afl oat, however, we’re suffering. We were turned down from receiving the funding we applied for. We understand that everyone has some issue or other due to the virus. We ask for support from our readers by taking out an ad or a $40 annual e-subscription (please see our website to order online, or contact us by phone (626) 798- 3972 or email: journal@ pasadenajournal.com) Of course we welcome ads. They are what sustains us. You may take out a display ad of any size, or a personal or business classifi ed ad, a legal ad or even an obituary ad or a church ad on behalf or your church as an offering.
