PASADENA, Calif.—Public Counsel and the City of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department are excited to announce the reopening of the Community Legal Clinic and Homelessness Prevention Legal Clinic at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave. These clinics provide free legal services to low-income individuals and families.
The Community Legal Clinic, co-sponsored by All Saints Church, is open the second Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon, and will be staffed by experienced attorneys assisting with a variety of legal issues, including housing, family law, bankruptcy/consumer debt, probate, civil matters, public benefits, expungements and more. Attendees are asked to bring all documents related to their case. The Homelessness Prevention Legal Clinic is open the third Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a Know Your Rights presentation on a housing or public benefits topic, followed by one-on-one consultations with an attorney for housing and public benefits matters only. These consultations are first come, first served. Attendees are asked to bring all documents related to their case. Both clinics are conveniently located in the heart of Pasadena and easily accessible by public transportation. Anyone in need of legal assistance is encouraged to visit the clinics and take advantage of these valuable resources. No appointments are necessary; however, all services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. |
