The world is watching as a madman in Russia destroys a country and innocent people and receiving nothing but praise from some American elected officials who shouted good words to Putin during President Biden’s State of the Union Address. I am surprised but not shocked that certain Americans love Putin and want a leader for America like him.
These people are the leftover racists from the pre-Jim Crow days of the south, trying to maintain their spot in America and return to their good old days. It is sad to know that racists are still walking the earth and taking up space, and even sitting in the State’s Legislatures receiving government moneys. We see African people trying to get out of the war zones and they are being treated like Hitler treated the Jews. I saw one old Jewish woman who said she survived the Holocaust being treated badly. How disgraceful. As a way to justify their barbarism, the aggressors are calling all these people Jews, though they are not all Jews. It is a sad state of affairs to see Russia killing people, men, women, and children, for no other reason other than to take their land. In a sense, Ukraine is to Russia nothing more than a gas station posing as a country. Putin is truly a monster who pretends to be a great guy and who is admired by America’s previous disgraced, twice impeached President, riding his horse, going shirtless. Unfortunately for Putin and the lovers of Putin, Russia is not doing so well right now, so he is killing Ukrainians by the bushel. My hat is off to those Ukrainians who are fighting for their freedom like the African slaves did during slavery. The Ukrainians seem to understand that you cannot win if you do not fight. The Ukrainians are fighting hard, and some Americans are simultaneously making statements supportive of Putin who has proven to be a selfish monster. This war needs to stop now. It has no real purpose except to please the outrageous taste of a monster who glories in the blood of men women and children. This satisfies the statement of marchers who held signs in America while demonstrating, that said “Russia saying Hitler didn’t do enough.” It would be good to see Putin end up the same as Hitler did. I ‘need to mention another fight that is going on. It is the fight to get a Black woman on the United States Supreme Court. The same principle applies here, which is, “You can’t win if you don’t fight.” At this point, there is one Woman on the menu for Supreme Court Justice. Kentanji Brown Jackson who clerked for the Justice she will be replacing is a Harvard University and a Harvard University Law School graduate. Harvard is promoted as the school to aspire to and yet one Republican has asked about her LSAT scores. The LSAT score is what you gain to get into law school. That is like asking for Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Who cares about the LSAT scores? Both Jackson and Obama got into and graduated from America’s highest rated law school. This question shows proof of a racist attitude of the person asking the question. I have been a lawyer for over forty years, and I have never heard that question asked of anyone. In fact, people do not even ask how many times you took the Bar Exam. Who cares? |
