Pasadena – On Friday, June 4, the Sixth Annual Spring Career Day was held for the children at Grover Cleveland Elementary School, 524 Palisade Street, in Pasadena hosted by the "Friends of Cleveland".
Presenters participating included representatives from the Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Fire Department, US Marine Corp, Northrop Grumman, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, PCC Music Department, ROTC, Cal Tech, JPL, Art Center, Guardian Ambulance, Crown City Veterinary Group, and other professionals such as a newscaster, teacher, artist, architect, doctor, nurse, dentist, psychologist, and more.
They will share real-life experiences with eager, enthusiastic and inquisitive students and expose them to as many careers as possible as they begin to determine what they want to be when they grow up.
The Friends of Cleveland's Career Day Program is designed to help provide children with a foundation from which they can aspire to become whatever their hearts desire and their hard work can achieve.
[The Friends of Cleveland is a Volunteer Community Group comprised of Seven Families formed to adopt Cleveland Elementary School in Pasadena, California. We are the first group of individuals to adopt a school in the Pasadena Unified School District.
