I want to encourage you to sign up your teens and/or members of youth group for this year's Pasadena Emergency Response Training (PERT) Boot Camp for Teens on Wednesday, July 14. This is a special day just for TEENS. The day will include PERT training from 9:00-1:30 PM and CPR certification from 2-6 PM.
All participants will receive a PERT backpack filled with emergency equipment, a PERT T-shirt and a PERT (overview certificate & CPR certificate). Participants must stay from 2-6 PM to receive CPR certification.
Best of all it is FREE.
The day will begin with Cal Tech's Margaret Vinci earthquake simulation and end with The American Red Cross simulation of a live disaster.
The day will conclude with Mayor Bogaard, Police Chief Sanchez, Fire Chief Downs, myself and Councilmember Victor Gordo giving congratuations in the Rose Bowl Stadium.
