FREE Tests & Screenings at the Third Annual Health Summit

On Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM, the Third Annual Health Summit will be held at the Jackie Robinson Center located at 1020 N. Fair Oaks Blvd, Pasadena, CA. The event is focused on providing tests and screenings for a variety of diseases that impact our community. The price is right! Everything at the event is FREE!

In order to prevent diseases from killing us, they need to be caught and stopped early. In order to help our community achieve this goal, the 2010 Health Summit has expanded the types of testing that will be available at the event that is FREE to all that attend.

There will be FREE Mammograms for those that qualify. In order to qualify, you must be a woman over 50 years old, enrolled in PPC, have received a free mammogram in the past, be a CA resident, low income, have no insurance and the last mammogram must be 1+ years ago.

If you meet these requirements, don't waste another minute, go to aka-elo.org in order to register for your FREE Mammogram now or call 626.475.7710!

The remainder of the FREE tests and screenings do not have any requirements nor pre-registration. Everyone that attends the Health Summit is eligible to take advantage of these FREE services. This will include HIV Tests, Eye Exams, Hearing Tests, Blood Pressure Checks, Glucose (Diabetes) Screening and Computerized Posture Analysis.

In our community, people that are infected or affected by AIDS is increasing at an alarming pace. Women, in particular, are being greatly impacted. In order to protect yourself, it is imperative that you know your status and that of your partner. Come out and get tested! It is FREE, and it is confidential.

Unfortunately both High Blood Pressure and Diabetes tend to run rampant in our community. When these diseases are not caught early, they strain your body with excess wear and tear. The earlier you know your status, the sooner you can start treatments and adjust your lifestyle accordingly. Getting these diseases is not a death sentence, but learning that you have them late and not taking care of your body to compensate can be a death sentence. You need to know what is going on inside of you. Come get tested for FREE at the Health Summit!

As the kids are going back to school, it's important to get their eyes and ears checked so they can be at their best. This is an ideal time to take advantage of these FREE tests for the kids. While you're there, you can also get yourself tested.

In addition to the FREE Screenings and Tests, an informative Speaker Series and other topical discussions will take throughout the event. This event is providing entertainment for the kids and information that they should know for their health.

Don't let this event pass you by, come out and see us!
