Art of Small Business Survival

The City of Pasadena, the Foothill Workforce Investment Board and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to present The Art of Small Business Survival, a monthly series of informational seminars. Offered free, the workshops focus on various aspects of running a business and are intended to help small businesses get started, maintain profitability and expand. Underwritten by the City of Pasadena, the workshops are hosted on the second Tuesday of each month at the Rose Bowl Press Box at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive (enter through Gate F) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

In addition to information and networking, a continental breakfast will be provided along with the free informational presentation. This is a must attend event for those who are thinking of starting a business, growing a business or struggling to survive.   • February 8th / Understanding Your Taxes - Essential for any Business Presenter: Jimmy Wong (Internal Revenue Service)
  • March 8th / Developing a Business Plan - The Foundation to a Successful Business Presenter: College of the Canyons Small Business Development Center
  • April 12th / Great Customer Service - Acquiring and Expanding your Customer Base Presenter: Joumana Barakat, Foothill Workforce Investment Board
  • May 10th / Potential in Your Town - The Power of the Local Shopper Presenter: TBD
  • June 14th / Procrastination: What's Stopping You Presenter: John Sovec
[The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce hosts a variety of informational, educational and networking events designed to allow members to promote their business, generate leads, meet their peers and have fun. Members receive preferential pricing for all Chamber events, though friends and non-members are always welcome. You can register and pay for regular Chamber events online at our website.
