Literature lovers who appreciate the contribution that creative women writers have made to the literary world, will enjoy the Pasadena Literary Festival of Women Authors at the Pasadena Senior Center on Saturday, April 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This extraordinary daylong literary experience will feature six local authors who'll talk about their colorful careers. These talented writers will participate in the Pasadena Literary Festival of Women Authors to benefit the non-profit Pasadena Senior Center, located at 85 East Holly Street in Old Pasadena.
Featured Festival speakers will be: Colleen Dunn Bates - Owner of Prospect Park Books, a small press in Pasadena, editor and creator of Hometown Pasadena. Elizabeth Hailey - Her first novel, A Woman of Independent Means, was later adapted for the stage and produced as a miniseries starring Sally Field. Denise Hamilton - Fulbright Scholar and author of the best-selling Eve Diamond crime novels. Erika Schickel - Author of You're Not the Boss of Me: Adventures of a Modern Mom. Her essays appear on-line at LAObserved.com, Moli.com, The Huffington Post and in several anthologies. Gail Tsukiyama - Creative writing lecturer at San Francisco State University, freelance book reviewer for the San Francicso Chronicle, and book review editor for the online magazine The WaterBridge Review. Pamela Samuels Young - Adjunct professor at the University of Redlands' School of Business and legal columnist for Global Woman magazine.
Festival tickets are $75.00 each; proceeds will support the Pasadena Senior Center's programs and services. Please note that seating is limited and tickets will be reserved.
