I picked up your publication for the first time this past week. First of all I would like to know where you would like me to hold your pity party. The editorial by Joe Hopkins was just unbelievable. How can you people feel so sorry for yourselves. Why do you blame other people for your problems? Have you ever read anything by Larry Elder? In particular I am thinking of his "Ten Things You Can't Say in America". If you haven't read it you should. The article entitled "The State of Black Pasadena - 2009" was just as bad, if not worse. It's the school system's fault that black students have the highest drop out rate and the school system's fault that statistically out of wedlock births is highest among the black population? Please, give me a break. I suppose you think that the CIA is responsible for the high rate of drug addiction among the black population.
Also, your articles are full of typos and grammatical errors. At times it was very hard to read and understand what the authors were trying to say. I don't know who prints your paper, but you should find someone who can do a better job. Oh but wait! It is probably a black owned company and you couldn't possible[sic] fire them just for a few typos!
