Myles Williams, a graduating senior from Maranatha High School in Pasadena, has been accepted at Marist College in Poughkeepsie New York and extended an invitation to attend this fall including a $28,400 non-loan grant package. Myles looks forward to working toward her goal of becoming an international affairs journalist at a college known for having one of the best communications internship programs in the country.
Marist’s technology resources provide an opportunity for Myles to learn in a cutting edge journalism program. In addition to maintaining a B+ GPA, Myles studied piano at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. She is an intern for the United Nations Association, Pasadena Chapter and student member of NAACP and the National Black Journalists Association. Myles is also a member of the Young Black Scholars of Los Angeles. She continues to play varsity soft ball for Maranatha as the team is currently in the 4th round of CIF playoffs. Go Minutemen!
