YWCA Honors Inger Miller Olympic Gold Medalist

Black news from Pasadena - Inger Miller, Olympic gold medalist, to kick off YWCA 2012 Honors SeriesOlympic Gold Medalist and Local Businesswoman Inger Miller will kick off the YWCA's 2012 Honors Series! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 29th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Ross Chapel at the Pasadena Neighborhood Unitarian Church, 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91103. Come and share the evening with the YWCA and listen to the highlights and accomplishments of this empowering female athlete.

Inger Miller graduated from Pasadena's own John Muir High School with a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Southern California. During the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Miller won her first gold medal and later won four World Championship gold medals.

Miller now owns and operates Miller-Hawkins Productions, a full service event planning company located in Altadena. MHP events has been honored by Assemblymember Anthony Portantino as California's Small Business of the Year and Top 40 under 40 by Pasadena Magazine. Miller is also the President of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce.

Join us in kicking off yet another exciting year of the YWCA Honors Series. It is at the heart of the YWCA to recognize the female leaders of our community and to highlight the accomplishments of these women of excellence. Following 2012 YWCA Honors events will be held in May and August of this year; additional speakers for the 2012 series to be confirmed.

Tickets for the event are $45 and include refreshments, $55 at the door. To honor Inger, special friend tickets are available at $100.
