The City of Pasadena and the Housing Rights Center will be hosting a "Fair Housing Workshop" for landlords and managers to discuss basic legal rights and responsibilities in housing, the fair housing laws, housing discrimination and how to avoid discrimination in housing.
The workshop will provide information to housing providers about the fair housing laws and how to avoid housing discrimination. Guests will learn the characteristics that are protected by the fair housing laws and what housing practices are considered illegal according to the fair housing laws.
The workshop will also present an overview of basic landlord-tenant rights and responsibilities regarding rent increases, evictions, notices, and more. Participants will also be able to ask questions about discrimination in housing and landlord-tenant issues.

HRC is a private, non-profit agency contracted with the City of Pasadena to provide free landlord-tenant counseling on housing issues, housing discrimination complaint investigation, as well as education and resources to local residents and community members.
