FREE Mammogram Available at Annual Health Summit 2012

On Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Fifth Annual Health Summit will be held at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Blvd, Pasadena, CA.

The event is focused on providing FREE tests and screenings for a variety of diseases that impact our community.

Once again, FREE Mammograms will be available. The facts are:

  1. Breast cancer is the 2nd most common form of cancer in women.
  2. Breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/ Alaska Native women.
  3. African American women are more likely to die from breast cancer than any other ethnicity.

For this reason, FREE Mammograms are being offered at the Annual Health Summit.

To take advantage of this service, sign up in advance of the event at aka-elo.org for a FREE Mammogram.

Requirements for a FREE mammogram are:

  • 40+ yrs old,
  • no breast implants,
  • eligible for a patient reimbursement program - CDP, Family Pact, private insurance, or grant.

Otherwise, the fee is $80. However, through a partnership with Families for Life, Inc. (families4lifeinc.org), we have secured limited funds to cover the $80 charge so go to aka-elo.org and click on 'Our Community' today!

Please call 626.475.7710 with any questions. Give yourself a fighting chance, get your Mammogram now!
