The way Republicans are acting about the loss of the Presidential election to President Obama reminds me of an old joke I learned while working in barber shops. The joke says that there were two men sharing a cell in prison waiting for an execution the next morning. One man was white and the other was black. All through the night the white guy was crying out and begging God for mercy. The black guy finally told him to shut up so he could sleep. The white guy said, "But they are going to hang me in the morning." The black guy said, "They are going to hang me too, and you don't hear me making all that noise." The white guy responded, "Yeah, but you people are used to it."
I have heard so much crying and seen so much peculiar behavior since the re-election of President Barack Obama since he won re-election, that I can hardly believe it.
One woman in Arizona got in her car and ran over her husband when she found out that he didn't vote for Romney. Another guy was so sure that Romney would win that he tattooed "Romney Ryan" on his face. Now he's trying to figure out what to do. As of this date, residents of 47 states, and counting, have started petitions to secede from the United States. Romney reportedly only wrote a victory speech and the Romney people spent a reported $25,000 on fireworks to shoot off over Boston Harbor to celebrate a Romney victory.
White students at the University of Mississippi (Ol Miss) protested, but they don't want to call it a riot. But if they were black students, it would be called a riot. It has been reported that there were approximately 400 fewer polling places than there were during the 2008 election. Twitter accounts sent out hateful messages about the "N-----" in the White House.
THE REAL INSULT IS THE FACT THAT THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT WILL SOON HEAR A CASE TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS STILL DISCRIMINATION IN VOTING. P-l-e-a-s-e!
With all of these losing racists gone wild, what are black folks, women, Latinos, Asians, and fair minded white folks supposed to do?
We should surely pray for President Obama. We should also pray for the racists, but remember, the Bible says to "WATCH AND PRAY". So keep your eyes open since eternal vigilance is the price of justice and equality.
