Altadena, CA – The Altadena Library is partnering with NASA this March for National Women's History Month, whose theme for 2013 is "Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics."

The Altadena Library will host the "NASAScience4Girls and Their Families*" program with the help of a NASA's Discovery Program on March 19 at 3:30pm. The library is partnering with NASA thanks to its ongoing commitment to provide science programming to the local community. The program will explore the marvels of the solar system and celebrate the contributions women have made to science.

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Shari Asplund of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on this unique program that will help instill confidence in the girls in our community," said Youth Services Librarian Cassandra Stearns.
