Panthers Youth Cheer Team . . .

Black news from Pasadena - News - Panthers Cheer Team International competition resultsCongratulations to the Pasadena Panthers Youth Cheer team for winning a quartet of first place awards at the Aloha International Cheer and Dance Competition in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Competing against teams from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, the Panthers' Gremlin (ages 6 through 10) and Junior Midget (ages 11 through 14) divisions brought home two top trophies each in the 'show cheer' and 'hip hop dance' categories.

Panthers coach Rhonda Graves said, "These young athletes represented our Pasadena/Altadena community with class and pride in Hawaii! They performed with excellence and also made friends literally from around the world!"

Affiliated with the San Gabriel Valley Jr. All-American Football Conference, the Pasadena Panthers Youth Cheer Team is a non-profit athletic and character-building program open to all area youth between the ages of 6 and 14.
