Dr. Shelia De Gruy brings together home health care and hospices agencies for a day of prayer. Dr. De Gruy, C.E.O. of De Gruy & Associates has helped prepare many home health care and hospices agencies for accreditations and has provided in-service and record auditing for seasonal and start-up agencies.
Shelia states, "People want to pray after all else fails, but we should make prayer a priority in our personal lives as well as in our business and profession vocation. Speaker for the prayer breakfast is Pastor Evon Mc Murray.
In recent years, we have witnessed the closure of many hospitals in the Los Angeles areas, and as a result, patients who would normally be cared for in the hospital are being discharged and cared for in their own home with services being provided by a home health care agency. Home health care agencies provide medical services to sick patients who are home bound. Service provided include: skilled nursing, home health aide, medical social worker, physical therapy and much more.
Hospice home health care is a way of caring for people with life threatening or terminal illness. Services are provided to meet the special needs of the patient and loved ones. Patients are allowed to make their transition at home pain free with privacy and dignity and not alone. Many elderly patients who have been ill for awhile have no church connection or are unchurched. In addition to skilled nursing, home health aide, etc. medical social worker and clergy service is provided to meet social and spiritual needs to the patient, their caregiver and loved ones.
Saving the home health care and hospice industry is everybody's business.
The prayer breakfast is held Saturday Oct. 3rd, 2009 at Coley's Caribbean-American Cruisine, at 300 E. Florence Avenue, Inglewood, California 90301, 9AM - 11:30AM.
