African American news from Pasadena - News - Cameron Turner joins sports show Going RogginPasadena Journal columnist and motivational speaker Cameron Turner has joined the team of panelists on "Going Roggin," the Sunday night sports talk show hosted and produced by NBC 4's Emmy-winning sports anchor, Fred Roggin. Turner was a frequent guest on Roggin's previous program, "The Filter," which featured lively discussions on local, state and national news.

"'The Filter' was a hot show," Turner recalls. "Now we're really turning up the heat with 'Going Roggin!' This show is agile and unpredictable so you never know what's going to happen next!"

During his "Going Roggin" debut (Sunday, June 2) Turner verbally sparred with the Roggin and sportswriter Matt Miller (LAsportshub.com) over hot topics including: whether Dwight Howard should select the next Lakers coach and Native American Congress members pressuring the Washington Redskins to change their name.

Looking ahead to future "Going Roggin" shows, Turner stated: "Taking the field with Fred Roggin and his team once again is really exciting. They are all-stars in the TV news business and 'Going Roggin' is a dynamic new concept in local sports broadcasting.

"Going Roggin" airs Sundays at midnight on NBC 4.
