Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown Honors Fathers From The 47th District

Black news from Pasadena - News - Assemblymember Cheryl Brown's Fathers of the YearAssemblymember Cheryl R. Brown (D-San Bernardino) recognized the upcoming Father's Day celebration by hosting her first "Fathers of the Year" program honoring outstanding fathers from the 47th Assembly District.

This year's honorees included: Sandy J. Torres, Principal; Ruth O. Harris, Middle School in Bloomington; Floyd McIver, retired, United States Air Force, United States Army Reserves, Kaiser and California Steele; Dwaine Radden, Director of Operations, PAL Center in San Bernardino; George A. Aguilar, CEO, Aguilar & Associates; Wayne Dickerson, Educator, Alta Vista Charter School in San Bernardino; David Radtke, General Manager, Dimare International Produce; and Akinlana Osonduagwuike, Principal, Frisbee Middle School in Rialto.

"A father's role is so important to a child's development. He provides encouragement, stability, confidence and guidance to his children. These honored fathers were nominated by their children and members of the community for their strong leadership skills and their commitment to excellence at home and in their respective communities. These fathers serve as an example for their children and the young men around them," said Assemblymember Brown. "This was such a unique event and I'm glad the community came together to celebrate these wonderful men of honor. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers and I hope you enjoy your day on Sunday, June 16," concluded Assemblymember Brown.
