Pasadena AKA's Install New Officers

African American news from Pasadena - Community News - AKA new officersAlpha Kappa Alpha, Eta Lambda Omega Pasadena, Altadena Chapter recently installed new officers. They include, (pictured above, from left to right): founding member Regenia Moses; Bonnie Sherman; Pamela Hughes; past president Desiree DeShay Weekley (rear); new vice president Ruthie Hopkins; Pamela Huley (rear); new president Taneka Shehee; Dana Huley (rear); Ashley Mitchell; Mina Mack; Fulvia Lindsey (rear); Jasmine Evains; Sharron Ross-Lemle'; and Elise Mallory.

The officers were installed by the AKA Regional Director, Barbara Dennison Trotter (pictured center, in below photo).

The AKA's have served the Pasadena, Altadena community for over 50 years. The new officers will serve a two year term.

Nine journalism students received an early Christmas present Sunday in the form of scholarships from the Black Journalists Association of Southern California.
