Aspires West Honors Community Professionals & Graduating Seniors

Aspires West Student Success Program will hold its annual Role Model for Youth Luncheon, Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Country Club. Six (6) graduating seniors will be honored:

(1) Jacob Cowherd, Upland High School; (2) Ah' Shirae Arana, Pasadena High School; (3) Lydia Jimenez, John Muir High School; (4) Darron McWhorter, Maranatha High School; (5) Robert Villarreal, Academia High School; and (6) Breanna Wright, Marshall High School.

Also, seven (7) community Aspires Role Models for 2014 will be honored:

(1) Ms. Denise Benefield, Proprietor Hair Stylist; (2) Dr. Shauna G. Bigby, Director/College Nurse; (3) Mr. Phillip Madden, Professional Photographer; (4) Dr. Brian McDonald, P.U.S.D. Educator; (5) Mr. Eugene Quishenberry, Construction Engineer; (6) Mr. Luke Walker, Proprietor, Barber & Beauty Salon; and (7) Ms. Anne M. Teal, Retired Community Service.

The Aspires program focuses on Personalized Educational Methods enabling students to succeed in Mathematics (all levels), Language Arts (Reading Comprehension, etc.), Computer Literacy, and Life Styles.
