Lena Kennedy, Speaks Candidly

Recently she was the keynote speaker at the YWCA Pasadena Foothill Valley's "Women of Leadership Forum.

She chose to address the audience in a talk show style format featuring Beverly White of NBC4.

Many who attended were fascinated by her life's story and her drive for success. "At this point in my life I want to do thing that's makes a difference," says Lena. I want to work with people who allow me to give back to my community and embrace what I believe in, and that's why I work with Senator Carol Liu. She is sensitive to the needs of the community." 

Moreover, her ability to exceed fundraising goals on a local and state level brought her to the attention of the Obama For President Campaign Committee.

As a life-long resident of Pasadena, Lena's unwavering commitment to a unified Pasadena is infectious.

For almost 30 years she has consulted for local, state, and national political leaders as well as corporate, union and non-profit organizations. 

Because of her success in fundraising, Lena is a key member of the National Finance Committee-Obama for America. She is also Director of special Projects for State Senator Carol Liu.  Lena's engaging personality, smooth calculated delivery captivates her audience keeping them amused and thirsty for more.

"We all were filled with joy as we reflect on Lena's caring, sharing, making a difference in our community, and still having time for herself and friends," says Zelder Nolanda.

Despite her White House connection, Lena's passion and dedication for her Pasadena community has not wavered. She has no political aspirations but she is available to consult.
