Dr. Eric Walsh, Director of Pasadena Health Department has solved the dilemma of his employment in Pasadena by accepting a job a Director of the North Georgia Health Department. Walsh is scheduled to begin work in Georgia on June 16, 2014.

The loss of Walsh will be a great loss to Pasadena and the African American community. He was a source of multiple grants that kept the department alive and growing.

Walsh understood the effects of crack and gangs which he called an infectious desease on the Black community. He worked hard to try to overcome the mental effect of gangs. He was a role model for young Black men and will be hard to replace, especially with someone with understanding and concern and care about the minority community.
