Pastor Glovioell says, “GOODBYE!”

African American news from Pasadena - Pastor Glovioell says 'goodbye'“Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way” (1 Samuel 12:23)

The blessings of the Lord are here!
2010 is arriving, and it’s in the atmosphere! The promises are to all who have honored and respected the Lord with fear!

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever.” (Psalm 111:10)

As we enter the new decade of this millennium, God’s glory will make us stand up and cheer!
In obedience, we fasted and prayed that these days would come near!

Bliss!  Bounty! and Benefits! will suddenly appear!

I’ve been instructed by the Spirit of the Lord to sign-off from the “Ask Pastor Glovioell” column that we hold so dear!

God was pleased with the beautiful stories, testimonies and spiritual truths that became clear.

My greatest thrills were the SOULS that were saved!

Unbelievers read the “Ask Pastor Glovioell” articles and proclaimed, “JESUS SAVES!”

1)     The Word of God was weaved into the very fabric of the “Ask Pastor Glovioell” answers and exhortations.

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
(1 John 5:11-12)

2)     Hundreds repented of their sin, believed Jesus paid the price, and turned to a new life!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Use your Spiritual weapons!  You’re a Child of the King!

Be strong in the Lord!  Be valiant!  March forward!  Know that the Victory is YOURS!

Dear Pasadena Journal Readers,
I would like to personally thank Joe and Ruthie Hopkins, the founders, editors and publishers of the Pasadena Journal Newspaper

They are a precious, God-fearing, committed couple who we all cherish.  This newspaper exists in our community to nourish!

Recalling my first articles in The Journal in 1993 and 1994—I wrote about Pasadena Church of God’s Saturday School and Midweek Academy Kids, their stories I’d explore.

Next, were the terrific “All Manner of Men Marches” of 1996 & 1997.  Pastors, Councilmen, Police Chief, NAACP, and hundreds of men of all races marched for peace to be prevalent.

In 1999, the Body and Soul Health Ministry activity in Journal articles would begin . We promoted eating more fruit and vegetables; exercising at church and at gyms.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 2)

We prayed for discipline in our eating, and were rewarded with fewer hospitalizations and fewer deaths!  The Holy Spirit gave us the power to treat our bodies the best!

The Journal provided an important and powerful vehicle through which I was privileged to write.

The Hopkins’ invited me to be a contributing writer in 2002 (Thanks Betty Ford!) and it was my delight!

I have appreciated every one of you fantastic readers, so dear!
You read me weekly, wrote letters and emails, and prayed for me and the people that had questions, without judging or jeers!

I felt your prayers, and now I have sentimental tears!

With great anticipation, I go onto the next heights in Christ without regret or fear!

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13)
