Local writer Cameron Turner, whose provocative column, "Turner's Two Cents," appears regularly in the Journal, will share his opinions on KNBC Channel 4 as a contributor to the dynamic news and discussion program, “The Filter with Fred Roggin.” Produced and hosted by KNBC sports anchor Fred Roggin, “The Filter” analyzes compelling local and national news stories through lively conversations with an eclectic/diverse team of commentators. “The Filter” debuted on KNBC’s digital cable companion station, NBC+ (Digital 4.2), in August of 2009. Effective Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010. “The Filter” will be featured weekdays at 11:30 AM on KNBC Channel 4.
Cameron Turner stated, "It’s a tremendous honor to share my ‘Two Cents’ on the innovative platform of ‘The Filter’ which is redefining how local news is delivered in Los Angeles. Stepping up to KNBC Channel 4 is huge! Now, everyone will be able to experience the groundbreaking excitement that is ‘The Filter!’”
Summing up his enthusiasm about “The Filter,” Turner added, “I’m grateful to Fred Roggin and his team for their confidence and I’m indebted to KNBC News writer Reva Hicks, for recommending me to Mr. Roggin when ‘The Filter’ was still in the embryonic stage.”
