Letter to John Randolph Rogers

I read both of your articles and I must admit when I hear about such tragedies that I too hope that it doesn't have anything to do with our people. Three days ago, I was in Houston celebrating for my mother-in-law 85th bday. I like Houston and the South. For one, I feel that the people are more friendlier. So, when I hear about this type of incident, I think more of L.A. where this craziest [sic] happens too often. It's all so sad that these shooting take place anywhere. I only hope people come to their senses to know that this doesn't help anyone.
