Pasadena Water Co. Glenarm Station Local Employment

The City of Pasadena Department of Water and Power provides water to residents of Pasadena, Altadena and San Gabriel.

The local hiring component of the contract for the improvements at the Glenarm Stations specifies that ONLY PASADENA RESIDENTS will be considered as local hires.

Altadenans and San Gabriel residents who have Pasadena water service pay a 20 percent price premium for not being Pasadena residents and are further insulted and cheated by not being considered for local employment hiring.

When developments are done in Altadena, Pasadena residents are considered as local hires. When will this outrageous inequity of treatment by Pasadena end?
