In Florida, the Governor is disallowing the teaching of Critical Race Theory, because they do not want white kids to feel bad about slavery and the way their ancestors treated Black Americans. So, a young white male goes into a supermarket and kills 10 Black folks. His actions remind white Americans what some feel about white folks under a Replacement Theory that white folks shall not be replaced by Jews and Black folks. Nobody wants to replace white folks. Seems like an excuse to rejuvenate the Ku Klux Klan. The people killed at the market included an elderly Black woman. How was she going to replace him? Last June this same young man was investigated for his hatred, but nothing was done to him. Now he has gone out and bought a gun to go Black folk hunting.
In this case the shooter in Buffalo, NY holding a gun after shooting and killing ten people was peacefully arrested without firing a shot. What would have happened if this shooter were Black? There is no reason to wonder as Black men and boys have been shot on sight when the Police believe the unarmed Black male was dangerous. Dylan Root who shot and killed nine Black people at the AME Church was given lunch on his way to the lock-up. Police choose to de-escalate situations when they are White. They just shoot them if they are Black. Last year was the initiation of America’s Anti-Lynching Law. After the killing of Emmitt Till and Medgar Evers, and thousands of others, they finally passed an anti-lynching law. We have gotten thoughts and prayers over the years, but no laws against lynching, until now. They ban abortion, but just now ban Lynching. How much more can we stand to wait on a voting rights bill, or a George Floyd police reform bill? Our past recent President seems to have renewed the hate Theocracy with his Make America Great Again philosophy. We were already a Great Country, headed for equality and a more perfect Union. I am a licensed California lawyer who attended some of this Country’s best schools, but I still feel the pain of being a Black man in America. I am also the proud father and grandfather of Black sons and grandsons, yet I fear for their safety in this country. As I type this article, the news comes on over the air that people are being shot in a Laguna church. The victims are Taiwanese, not white. Are they going to kill all who are non-whites? Are these white supremacists that are afraid of everybody? I do not want to replace anyone. I just want to join those in keeping this country great. My father fought in America’s war to keep America great. I never heard about anyone replacing anyone, until the recent past President and FOX news commentator, Tucker Carlson. I even heard someone say the reason America does not have enough baby food, like Enfamil is because it is going to immigrants. There is no truth about wanting to replace anyone. The racists want to kill Black Folks. The white Supremacists killed as many Native Americans as they could and took their land and tried to replace them. Is this their plan now? Kill and replace them again? Is this their great Replacement Racist Theory? White folks are afraid that Black folks, Jewish folks, Brown folks, and people of color are going to replace them. Wow! |
