Information about Fictitious Business Name Filing and Publishing

You may file and publish your FBN by choosing one of the following methods:

1. You may go to the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office which is located at: 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, CA. For their current fees, give them a call at: (562) 462-2177.
2. Instead of going to the Los Angeles Counter Recorder's Office, you may go online to their website at: www.lavote.net, and follow these steps:
   1. download (print out) the FBN form,
   2. complete and sign the form,
   3. mail the form to them and,
   4. mail your check or money order for payment of their fees (which are listed on the form) and
   5. also send them a return, stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Their mailing address is located on the bottom of the form.

• MAKE 2 COPIES OF THE FORM
• MAIL THEM THE ORIGINAL FORM WITH YOUR ORIGINAL SIGNATURE ON IT AND
• MAIL A COPY OF THE FORM TO THEM
• KEEP A COPY OF THE FORM FOR YOURSELF

Articles may be submitted for print in The Journal and for publication on The Journal's website.  Articles are considered for placement on a space availability basis at the editor’s discretion, with no guaranteed placement. Articles may be submitted by website advertising clients with a minimum three month commitment term. Articles from website advertising clients will be placed on the website with guaranteed placement.

Articles are also considered for special issues throughout the year.  Special issue examples include Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, Black History Month, Kwanzaa, Black Music Month, Recycling Black Dollars, as well as others.

All articles are limited to 300-500 words in length and may include a brief bio, photograph, and the writer's contact information.  Articles and photographs and may be edited for space.  See additional submission guidelines under Terms of Sale. DELIVERY TIME

GENERAL RETURNS POLICY

All sales are final and no refunds or credits will be issued except in the case that service is not delivered as agreed, on time in the specified issue of the Pasadena Journal online and the material is dated by its very nature. In the event that The Pasadena Journal does not receive camera ready or "Web Ready" material, The Pasadena Journal reserves the right to reject the advertisement and cancel payment.
