Assemblymember Anthony Portantino in cooperation with the Pasadena Department of Health is inviting San Gabriel Valley residents to join him in a free HIV testing day: Saturday, June 26 from 11 am to 3pm. The pain-free test will be administered by health department workers using a quick-result swab that provides results within 20 minutes.

The Centers for Disease Control estimates that one in five people infected with HIV do not know their HIV status. Several cities have recently reported a drop in new HIV infections following public testing efforts.

Join Assemblymember Portantino and friends to raise awareness about HIV testing, prevention and treatment.

The agenda includes:

• FREE, on-site testing and confidential rapid result oral testing administered by the Pasadena Public Health Department. (results within 20 min.)
• HIV/AIDS educational materials supplied by AIDS Service Center and Planned Parenthood of Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley.
