Description

Henry's Farmers Market, which started in San Diego 66 years ago and now has stores in Southern California, mostly throughout San Diego and Orange County, is opening its 30th store in Monrovia, June 17, at 400 W. Huntington Drive, just east of Mayflower Avenue. While the official ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place at 8:45 AM, the market will be open at 9:00 AM. The first 200 customers who arrive will be given a pre-selected shopping bag of free groceries. Local farmers and fishermen will also be on hand to answer any questions about their fresh products.

If your first name is Henry (and you show identification) you will be treated to a free deli sandwich that day. Also, anyone can register for two free nutritional information lectures coming up. The first one, on June 23 is "Label Lingo: Decoding Food Labels." The second one, on June 30, is a "Gluten-Free Store Tour." There are 25 seats available for each lecture.
