Effective August 1, Pasadena Area Rapid Transit System (ARTS) will implement several changes to bus services, including the elimination of Sunday service on all six routes.
People who ride Pasadena ARTS buses on Sundays are encouraged to try Metro and Foothill Transit buses.
The end of Sunday service was necessary due to the decline in sales tax revenues that fund the program.
Other service adjustments include schedule changes and improved routes:
Route 10 has been restructured and will travel on South Lake Avenue to provide better connections between Old Pasadena, the Playhouse District and South Lake. The buses will no longer travel on Wilson Avenue. Buses will operate at intervals of 25 minutes.
New limited Saturday service on Route 51 will travel to the Rose Bowl Stadium from the Memorial Park Gold Line Station. From the station, riders can board the bus at the northwest corner of Raymond Avenue and Holly Street. The bus stop at the Rose Bowl Stadium will be on the south side of Seco Street at Arroyo Boulevard. Saturday service from Raymond Avenue and Holly Street will start at 7:30 a.m. and the last bus leaving the Rose Bowl Stadium will be at 7:57 p.m.
All ARTS buses have racks for bicycles.
