Find Out How Powerful You Can Be at “Power of One Program"
Jun.06.2011 07.00PM

The Friends of the Altadena Library are sponsoring the inspiring Power of One program which will show how anyone can make a difference, add more meaning to their lives, and, by the way, glean some great photography tips too at Altadena Library on Monday June 6 at 7:00 p.m.

This event will feature Traude Gomez-Rhine author and Brian Biery photographer for the book Power of One along with several of the Pasadena and Altadena residents who are profiled in this work as the result of their enormous contributions to the community.

Marty Coleman, of the Sustainable World Ministry; Tom Coston, of the Light Bringer Project; Sue Kujawa, Mothers Club Director; Ellen Snortland, “Fearless Feminist” and journalist; and Dr. Don Thomas of the Young and Healthy Program will discuss what inspired them and offer suggestions for others who would like to help make the world a better place, too.

This free program will also have a segment dealing just on the photography in Power of One and on Biery’s process of creating its unique and captivating images, many of which will be on display that evening.  These and others of his outstanding photographs will be on view June 2 through June 20 in the Library Community Room.

The main Altadena Library is located at 600 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena. For more information: (626) 798-0833 or www.altadenalibrary.org.
