Los Angeles-based actress Shelli Boone (www.shelliboone.com) will perform her critically acclaimed play in three states – California, Virginia and Florida. "Out West" depicts seven scenes featuring women of color striving to survive during the migration West throughout the late 1800's and early 1900's. Through the use of monologues and music, the audience experiences their struggles with health, religion, love, family, finance and ambition, amidst a turbulent and viciously racist national climate.
Boone is first appearing in The Actors Repertory's 3rd Annual Solo Festival at the Missing Piece Theatre in Burbank, California on Saturday, January 30th at 8pm. The festival features 18 one-person shows, all judged by the audience.
