This coming spring semester, Pasadena City College will be offering a semester-long study abroad program at Capitol Normal University in Beijing. The program will include Chinese language classes, as well as studies in Chinese civilization, Chinese literature, and modern Chinese business practices. There will also be opportunities to visit historical sites such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City.
The program will be led by Dr. Cathy Wei, professor of the PCC Languages division; and Dan Raddon, assistant professor of the PCC Business and Computer Technology division. Both faculty members have expertise in East Asian culture and business.
The duration of the program is from February 20, 2012 to April 29, 2012.
Informational sessions are scheduled for October 18 at noon and 7 p.m., and November 8 at noon and 7 p.m. in C217.
