The County of Los Angeles and the Housing Rights Center will host a "Housing Rights Workshop" to discuss tenants' legal rights and responsibilities, the fair housing laws, housing discrimination and how to recognize discrimination in housing.
The workshop will inform residents about the fair housing laws and how to address housing discrimination. Attendees will learn the characteristics that are protected by the federal and state fair housing laws, and which housing practices are considered illegal.
The workshop will present an overview of basic legal landlord-tenant rights and responsibilities, including rent increases, evictions, notices, and more. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions about housing discrimination and landlord-tenant issues.
