Marshall Fundamental School desperately needs a shade structure as well as more tables and benches for its quad area that provides critical outdoor space for its middle-grade and high school students. The opportunity to attain these items is now within reach as Marshall was nominated and selected as one of 1600 schools nationwide (the only school in Pasadena) to compete in the Clorox Company's Power a Bright Future grant program.
Now through December 9 anyone can vote for Marshall to win a grant either online www.PowerABrightFuture.com or by texting 'clorox5698' to the number 44144. You can vote once every single day.
The school or program that receives the highest number of votes will win the $50,000 grand-prize grant; the next top five vote-getters in the Play, Create and Explore categories respectively will receive a $25,000 grant. One additional school will be selected to receive a $25,000 judge's choice grant.
Marshall needs everyone who cares about our public schools to vote for Marshall every day through Dec. 9 either online at www.powerabrightfuture.com or by texting 'Clorox5698' to the number 44144.
Marshall has slipped slightly in its rank but we still have time to catch up! Pass this on to your friends and families and ask them to vote every day as well!
