The Kawaida Institute Of Pan-African Studies (KIPAS) holds its 34th annual seminar in social theory & practice on Sunday, July 22nd to Saturday, July 28, 2012. The seminar provides critical analysis, discussion and strategies for addressing major issues confronting the black community and the world from a Kawaida prospective. Dr. Maulana Karenga is the instructor.
Dr. Karenga is professor and chair of Africana Studies, CSULB; executive director, KIPAS; chair, The Organization Us and The National Association of Kawaida Organizations. He is a widely published author, creator of Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba and at the forefront of the country's intellectual community.
The entire seminar will be held at The African American Cultural Center, 3018 W. 48th Street in Los Angeles.
