Former Los Angeles Laker Bryon Russell to host his First Annual Celebrity Softball Challenge with the City of Pasadena on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Robinson Park. The softball challenge will serve as the spotlight event for Pasadena's Community Day - a fun-filled experience for local families including food vendors, games, face-painting and entertainment.
"My team, Cali Stars, and I have been playing as part of the entertainment league for many years," said the former NBA star. "And, after learning that celebrities and athletes in other cities have been doing the same, I decided that it was time for me to establish a format to make our weekend activity accessible to the community and eventually take it on the road," he explained.
