Sand Candles
Oct.14.2012 02.00PM

Explore the science of exothermic reactions, heat and energy, by designing candles using sand molds.

We will create different shape and size candles out of sand and candle wax.

We will also examine the physics of how a candle flame is extinguished using a variety of activities and experiments.

Use recycled crayons around the house as a wax coloring agent. Extend the fun at home with melted crayon molds and scents.

Workshop fee is $8 per child and an accompanying adult in addition to regular museum admission.

See you Sunday, October 14, 2:00 p.m.

The ART WORKSHOPS & CLASSES are for AGES 6 to 10.  Registration is available online or on the day of the workshop at the Busy Bee Learning Store.
