Altadena Community Easter Sunrise Services will be held on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM at Farnsworth Park, the traditional site for the services. The park's beautiful amphitheater is located at 568 East Mount Curve Avenue, (corner of Lake Avenue).
You will not want to miss this dynamitic service as we witness the sunrise on this glorious Easter Sunday. The Easter message of victory will be proclaimed through Scripture readings and inspired music with the message given by Dr. Anthony McFarland, pastor of Abundant Harvest Christian Center in Pasadena. The praise team will provide the soul string music of the season, and the congregation will join in familiar Easter anthems.
This annual event has been planned and organized by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Pasadena/Altadena. The Sunrise Service is also supported by the Ecumenical Council of Pasadena/Altadena Area Churches and the Clergy Community Coalition of Pasadena. Together, these three groups represent over seventy churches from many denominations and ethnicities.
The Sunrise Service is free to the public and open to everyone. No one has to dress up, but should dress warmly.
