Women At Work Launches 35th Anniversary with Founder’s Challenge Grant

Uma Shrivastava, president of the board of Women At Work, has announced a $50,000 challenge grant offered by two board members and an anonymous donor who wish to support the mission of Women At Work.

"As we embark on our 35th year, it is truly exciting to be able to offer the entire community the opportunity to help underwrite the many services Women At Work provides to job-seekers and job-providers in our communities", said Shrivastava.

The organization has until April 30, 2014 to meet the challenge of raising $50,000. This is a dollar for dollar match!

"The goal is an ambitious one", responds Camille Levee, Executive Director of the organization based in Pasadena but serving the entire San Gabriel Valley, and NE Los Angeles. This grant will help our agency continue to meet the challenges of the current volatile economy. Our services range from job counseling and resume critiques to computer skills enhancement and interview preparation. An average of one individual a day receives job placement."
