The Ancestors Speak

Black ancestors look down with disbelief
Recalling all the undo grief
Suffered through many generations
Partially due to lying white women's allegations

One ancestor said to the other, T'is hard to believe
Black men rush to cut black women a loose
Over 3,000 blacks hung on limbs like leaves
Racist women loved them in hangman's noose

That looks like my great grandson there
Relaxing in a big expensive easy chair
He just signed a big movie contract
He says black women hold him back

By the latest count he's the millionth one
That love white girls but sleep with blacks for fun
But it was we black women that hid them in our cloak
When the wench brought a lynch mob with a rope

Another ancestor said, if I may interject
At least your great grandson is with the opposite sex
Look at my great grandson, she angrily said
He's cuddled up with another man in his bed

Black men are boasting their gayness with pride
No concern that this can lead to genocide
Too many men drug addicted, jobless and gay
A larger percent are in prison and many to stay

A third female ancestor joined the conversation
Black families are the collateral damage of this devastation
Record numbers of mothers are in prison because of dope
Black women marrying other races as a means to cope

It's a miracle that black families still survive
By the grace of God a good number even strive
But to the few strong black men holding down the fort
Your ancestors are writing you a proud report
