Kidspace Children’s Museum Hosts 20th Annual Pumpkin Festival

Black news from Pasadena - Community - Kidspace Pumpkin FestivalKidspace Children's Museum will host the 20th Annual Pumpkin Festival on October 17-18, 2014, in Brookside Park, directly in front of Kidspace Children's Museum. Festival hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Festival admission is free and the community is invited.

Last year, more than 20,000 people attended from the greater Los Angeles area. Live musical performances, selected crafts, and photo opportunities in the pumpkin patch are all free. Tickets are available for purchase to enjoy the bouncers, pony rides, carnival type games, food, as well as many other attractions. Children can make fall crafts, have their faces painted, and select a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. Additionally, there will be a petting zoo, and parents will love the great prices at the used costume and book sale!



NATHA Appoints New Board Members to Guide Rebuilding Process

The evening program took place in the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena.



Hillsides Charity to Honor Donors and Volunteers at Circle of Excellence Dinner

  • Hillsides Lifetime Achievement Award - Astrid Fishbein. Fishbein, who resides in Encino, CA, has volunteered with the children of Hillsides for 18 years.



Public Invited to Food Day Pasadena Celebration

Black news from Pasdena - Community - Food Day Pasadena - free family festival  Pasadena, CA — The public is invited to celebrate healthy living with lots of fun activities at Food Day Pasadena Friday, October 24, 2014. The free family festival hosted by the Public Health Department will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1845 N. Fair Oaks Avenue.

Held in conjunction with the national Food Day celebration, Food Day Pasadena represents a local movement for healthy, affordable and sustainable food for all residents.
