Criminal INjustice System

African American news from Pasadena - Trayvon Martin and others - do we have a criminal injustice systemSince the trial of George Zimmerman ended, the nation is once again abuzz not only over the jury's decision and what might be next for Zimmerman. The conduct of the court system itself is a hot topic.

The Pasadena Journal has chosen to highlight articles that offer perspective on the significance of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, subsequent verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman, what might be in store not only for Zimmerman, but for our nation's civil rights, its criminal justice system, and gun violence.

This isn't just about one boy and one man. Let us remember Emmett Till, Fred Hampton, Jr., Rodney King, Amadou Diallo, and now Trayvon Martin among the many, many others who have not received media attention . . .

Let us consider all of the ramifications.

And, as we wonder if we have a criminal injustice system, there are actions we can take, non-violent actions, to bring justice for all here in these United States of America.  Some actions are suggested in these Pasadena Journal articles.
