The world is watching as the guy in the White House is stretching his authority and seeing how much he can get away with. He said he could shoot someone in Times Square and get away with it. 500,000 people are dead because this President has been negligent. This new racist tactic relates to his control over the Post Office through his so-called Postmaster General, Louis Dejoy.
This new tactic has new victims including, indigenous people who rely on the mail for a number of things. Vulnerable people are those who rely on the postal service for medicine and social security checks. There are over 600,000 employees of the Post Office. Many upper-level managers have been terminated. At the President's directions, Dejoy has also removed sorting machines from post offices in major cities. The President has refused to provide the funds requested by the Post Office, but he has bailed out the banks and bailed out the auto manufacturers. He is actively working to destroy our right to a free and fair election and seek to benefit his re-election to the presidency. Dejoy, under pressure to testify before the House Committee has vowed not to remove any more postal drop boxes and sorting machines. But outcries that the damage may have already been done and he need to immediately restore what he has removed. At press time, he had not said he would do so. Our Letter carriers include Asians, Mexicans, blacks, and others who have made the Post Office a career to feed and take care of the needs of their families. Now, this president wants to destroy it in order to suppress the vote. It seems he had decided he can’t win fairly so he’s using every tool of voter suppression he can, including destroying the constitutionally guaranteed service of the Post Office. The jelly bean and soap bubble tricks are gone, so now they are practicing voting suppression in our faces. In the last election, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is a kind of new grand wizard having, supposedly, losing thousands of black voters' names so their votes didn't count. ...Talk about Law and Order from Republican politicians who left their guns at home while they robbed us of our hard-fought and gained right to vote. My advice is that we as voters go out and sign up as voter registration or polls volunteer. These guys need to be watched. Congress needs to get DeJoy in front of them to answer questions, SOON. What the Democratic candidates need to do is inspire people to get out and vote and bring someone with them. They also need to include black media in their publicity plan. This election is important to Black America. We need to demonstrate to our young that we are still the fighters who fought to get the right to vote and we aren't going back to pre-voting days. We need to give money to help the party vote for Biden and Harris to inspire little black girls and boys about their future opportunities. We’ve seen Barack Obama as a black president. Now we must promote Kamala Harris as an example for the future to prove to this president, “Yes We Can.” Keep any little piece of evidence that you voted, so you can be part of the fight. We kept the faith and voted for Shirley. We voted for Jessie, we voted for Clinton, and we voted for Barack. We won with Lyndon, we supported Dr. King, and, locally, we supported Jackie and John. Now we need to keep the faith and support and vote for Kamala and Joe, even though they try to suppress our vote. Let's prove them wrong! Vote like your life depends on it ... in fact, that may very well be the case, if this president wins. It's now 500,000 dead and counting............ |
