Muir Ranch in Last Day of Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign-$10,000 Raised, $2,000 To Go!
Two weeks ago Muir Ranch at Muir High School in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) launched it's first crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo to fund an expansion of its rose garden. Using the TOMS shoes model of "Buy 1, Give 1" the urban farm nonprofit has reached its initial goal of $10,000 raised to support the program. A second goal is on the table where if Muir Ranch raises $12,000 by the end of the day, $2000 of cutflower plants will be donated to the ranch. Donors have signed up for "perks" as they are called on the funding platform that range from kale seeds and t-shirts to year-long subscriptions of organic vegetable and flower bouquets. The campaign is located on Indiegogo here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pasadena-rose-garden-at-muir-ranch/x/1623374
