Three black men and a white woman are working to change the south. Jaime Harrison is candidate for the South Carolina Senate Seat now held by Lindsey Graham. Mike Espy is running for a Senate Seat in Mississippi. He would be the first black man in the Senate since Reconstruction. Raphael Warnock is the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist church in Atlanta, Georgia. Ebenezer is the church formerly pastured by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Amy McGrath, a white female fighter jet pilot, is running to unseat Mitch McConnell.
Though we don’t live in the South, we can all help by sending money to their campaigns to help change the south. A friend of mine showed me a video of the cotton industry and how the free labor of the slaves made southern cotton farmers millionaires, thanks to the kidnapped free labor they got from Slavery. It’s pay back time now. Forty percent of Mississippi residents are black and yet the whites who stole their labor for hundreds of years now want to deprive them of the vote. We owe it to southerners to help these candidates win their elections. it will help them but also give us bragging rights to be able to say we sent money to help liberate the South. We know about the Edmund Pettis Bridge march where Congressman Lewis was almost beaten to death. We know about Emmit Till who was killed and disfigured so badly that he was unrecognizable to his mother and the world. We know about Jimmy Lee Jones who went to vote and was killed. We also know Goodman, Schwerner, and Chaney, the three boys in the Mississppi (two Jewish boys and one black), all killed during a voting rights campaign. Leslie Graham is a two-faced Senator who did what he wouldn’t have done under different circumstances. Specifically, he denied his friend Senator John McCain. After McCain’s death. He gained the love of the monster President Donald Trump and abandoned his deceased friend, and did an about face on all the policies he along with McCain stood for. Joe Biden will use honesty to win the Presidency and restore honesty and integrity to the office. His eight years as Vice President was without corruption.
