Eighty pick-up trucks followed a Biden Democratic Bus, reminiscent of the freedom riders of civil rights movement, with Trump signs and flags attached to their vehicles. They slowed the bus down, prevented it from exiting the highway, bumped into it, tried to run it off the road and repeatedly blew their horns, on a Texas highway. The President said of the incident that the pickups were “escorting and protecting the bus”. I ask you what were they being protected from? Those who believe that lie believe that rain is not wet, and they voted for this guy to have a second term as President.
Tricks now and tricks anticipated in the future include more voter suppression and intimidation by gun toting poll-watchers, states and cities creating new local rules such as no drive-through voting in cars, limiting the number of Post Offices open to the public, or limiting Post Office hours and limiting only one drop box per county, in order to exclude voters not falling within these stringent rules and guidelines.
Other tricks include voting restrictions by not counting votes that arrive late, even though they were mailed on time and, in spite of, causing the Post Office to deliver late because the postmaster, under Trump’s authority, removed mail sorting machines from Post Offices. They also reject ballots and purge voters from the records because voters did not vote in the last general election, or their signature does not match their signature on their initial voter registration application, or they may have moved, among other reasons.
It’s funny Trump wants to have former President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrested, at the same time that his hero, Vladimir Putin of Russia was poisoning his rival. We will know soon what other tricks Putin has inspired him to do. Trump can be considered a mobster or modern-day Ku-Klux-Klan. At least they are all in the same boat as criminals.
Cubans voting for Trump believe that Castro is still in Cuba, instead of his grave, and that Bernie Sanders is his American agent because he is a socialist. They also think that Biden would be a socialist president, even though nothing in Biden’s record shows that. Some Trump supporters also believe the kids placed in cages, which they call shelters, were going to be reunited with their parents. Many believe Trump is going to give two hundred dollars to every American. I will admit that I didn’t think Americans were that stupid.
Trump said he would announce himself, President, for a second term after the election is over, even if it is just close. By press time, the votes should all be in and we will see if the picture of him being dragged out by his ankles and feet first, happened. This would be just as entertaining as it was pitiful to watch him hold up the Holy Bible near the church.
Can anyone believe that Evangelicals praised him for holding up the Bible? Well, they did. They also praised him for talk of building a wall with money taken from the military budget, after saying Mexico would pay. They stood by him as they watched him praising the white supremacists like the Boogaloo Boys and telling the Proud Boys to stand by. Stand by, for what? Under Trump, ball Players can’t kneel to protest the mistreatment of black men without permission from him. Ex-felons can’t vote without permission from him. I thank God that he doesn’t rule my household, but I admit that I am surprised that these so-called Christians go along with the so-called President, in spite of all the stuff he does.
I don’t know why I am surprised because it was the so-called Christians who controlled the cotton farming; they caused black folks to be all colors in the rainbow with their so-called belly warmers and rapists. What I do know is that we have survived, and we will continue to survive as long as we don’t believe everything the so-called white leaders tell us. We black folks have come from the Slave Ship to the Space ship and from the Out House to the White House. A new crop of leaders is here and they must be ready to fight future big-time cheats. It is a new challenge for which they need new skills and a plan to work around them and stay ahead of them. They must be watchful of their antics and tricks, in order for them to win.
