Description

Professional photographers and naturalists will team up Saturday, June 6, from 8 to 11 a.m. to lead a free outdoor class and walk at Hahamongna Watershed Park.
The workshop is open to photographers and nature lovers at all skill levels and is the final event in the Arroyo Seco Discovery Days series designed to deepen the public's appreciation of the park's uniqueness.
City of Pasadena naturalists and Armory Center for the Arts photographers will combine a walk with instruction on capturing nature on film or digitally.
Individual instruction will include close-up shots of plants and flowers as well as panoramic views of the Hahamongna flood basin and San Gabriel mountains. Naturalists will teach about the Arroyo Seco's native plants, how to find animals when you can't see them and the role water plays in the environment.
Participants should bring their own cameras or camera phones, wear comfortable walking shoes, long pants, sun block and dress for the weather. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are required. Call (626) 744-7358 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to reserve and for information on where to meet.
